Conference Details
We invite anyone who has been diagnosed with alopecia areata, along with their friends and family members, to attend the Conference. The educational content, as well as the activities, are planned with everyone affected by alopecia areata in mind.
We encourage you to attend as many sessions as you would like, but it is not mandatory that you attend any sessions while participating in the Conference.

The Registration and Information Desk will be located (floor/location) and will be open during the following times:
- Thursday, June 30th, 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- Friday, July 1st, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- Saturday, July 2nd, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Sunday, July 3rd, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Attendees participating in the Tortoise and Hair™ Walk can also check in at the Registration Desk to pick up their t-shirts prior to the walk.

After completing your registration for the conference, you will be prompted to pay by credit card. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover are accepted.
If you prefer to pay your conference fee by check, please mail your check no later than Wednesday, June 1, for the full amount payable to 'NAAF' with a memo of '2022 conference registration' and mail to:

Cancellations received by NAAF no later than Monday, June 13, 2022 will be refunded, less a $25 per person administrative fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after June 13. Refunds will be mailed in August.
Casual attire is appropriate for the entire conference. Dressier attire is frequently chosen for the social events but is not required. Attire to keep warm while indoors is recommended since air conditioned hotels are sometimes chilly. Please be prepared with umbrellas for rain or shine! Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes for the Tortoise & Hair™ Conference Walk, and don't forget to bring your outfit for the Dancing Through the Decades Dance Party!

*Please note that the parking garage has a clearance of six feet. Van and RV parking is available at nearby Union Station.
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is the closest airport, located just 4.7 miles from the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill. Metrorail is the most convenient and inexpensive way (less than $4 per person) to travel from the DCA Airport to the conference hotel (20-25 min). The Union Station Metro stop is located three blocks from the hotel.
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is 27.6 miles from the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill.
The least expensive way to travel from IAD to the hotel is to take a Metrobus from the airport to Metrorail, and then Metrorail to the conference hotel (less than $10 per person) to Union Station, just three blocks from the hotel.
Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is 31.7 miles from the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill. The MARC Washington DC commuter train from BWI to Union Station, located just three blocks from the conference hotel. The MARC train runs weekdays only. Free shuttles depart for the train station at BWI every 6 to 8 minutes.
Taxis and Shuttles
Uber, Lyft or Taxi are other options for transportation to the conference hotel. From DCA the travel time to the hotel is approximately 20 minutes. From IAD to the conference hotel is 50-60 minutes. From BWI to the conference hotel is 60 minutes.

Family Activities
You can sign up to participate in the Tortoise & Hair Walk while registering for the conference. There's no entry fee, but each walker or family must have a pledge sheet with a minimum total donation of $25 per individual or $50 per family - and there will be amazing prizes for those who raise the most!

Yes! We will be attending the Nationals vs. Marlins game on Friday, July 1st, at 6:05 PM. You can find more information and purchase tickets HERE.
While completing your online registration, parents are requred to:
- Complete permission and emergency consent forms for EACH CHILD participating in Camp.
- Provide a detailed list of safe and acceptable foods for children with allergies or special dietary needs.
This information MUST be provided before you will be able to complete your registration.
NOTE: The registration platform requires a unique email address for each registrant. If the person you're registering does not have an email address, please enter an identifier in the form of an email address as follows: firstname.lastname@naafconference.org.
If you have a child/children who will attend the Children's Conference Camp you will need to know the following:
- Birth date and age.
- Dietary restrictions and/or food allergies.
- Any medical problems and/or current medications.
- Name and telephone number of their doctor.
- Insurance carrier and policy number.
NOTE: You will need to complete the Children's Conference Camp paperwork before you're able to confirm your registration. Applications will not be accepted onsite.
An IRS ruling allows parents to deduct the expenses of admission and transportation to a medical conference relating to the chronic disease of the individual's dependent.
Fundraising Opportunities
Each walker or family must have an online Donation Page (or Pledge Sheet) with a minimum total donation of $25 per individual or $50 per family. Details and pledge sheets will be included in conference confirmation packets, and there will be amazing prizes for the highest earners.
Don’t think you’ll be going to the conference, but still want to participate in the walk? No problem! You can set up a donation page allowing you to hold your own virtual Tortoise & Hair™ Conference Walk right in your own hometown.

Sponsor & Exhibitor Information
If you would like to apply to be an exhibitor, please print, sign and return the PDF of NAAF Exhibitor Rules and Regulations Agreement no later than Monday May 23, 2022. When we approve and counter sign your agreement, we will provide you with a unique web link to register you and your representatives as exhibitors. Please do not register beforehand.
We offer two levels of registration. The first level is for the ‘NAAF Boutique’ exhibitors selling items over $250. The second level is for ‘NAAF Bazaar’ exhibitors where the items for sale are $250 or less.
